Packing - Part III

If you intend to use an internal-shell camping backpack (above), you should start by packing the lightest thing first (we began with shoes, rain gear and unbagged clothing) before working your way to clothing and following up with toiletries, first aid kit and other items not mentioned in this post.
Even though this is fine and dandy, we found the backpack to be cumbersome to handle and that it left very little room for gifts and other items purchased while abroad (in fact, with everything inside it, the left over space was virtually non-existant).  So, instead of leaving myself to be tortured by carrying something on my back from place to place and possibly having to wait around with it on my back for periods of time (which wouldn't be much but excrusiatingly annoying nonetheless), we instead chose the large dufflebag/rolling suitcase:

This can be packed at your discression, as with this bag (just don't pack anything important like your passport, ID, credit card or money, as these can go in your pockets/money belt).
