Packing - Part II

To save space with clothing (a key part of this procedure), separate the articles into separate piles (one for shirts, another for shorts/pants, etc.) and fold each article properly -- making sure to roll/fold it up (see pictures above) for the best guarantee of space. [*Note: For more info on how to fold clothes the Vinci way, see my posts "How to Fold a Shirt for Travel (like a Vinci)" and "How to Fold/Roll Shorts/Pants for Travel (Like a Vinci)"]

The next step is to package the clothes in ziplock bags (go for at least gallon-size bags) and/or medium-sized all-purpose zipper bags like the two bags in the upper center and upper right-hand sides of this photo (use especially for shirts, shorts, and pants, as these were too tricky to fit in the ziplock bags).  When all of your clothing (that you can fit) is in a bag, make sure all the air in the bag is virtually non-existent before sealing fully (to allow for maximum space and lightness). [*Note: for more info on how to do this, please read my post "How to Get a Lot of Air Out of a Ziplock Bag"]
