Day 3 - Why are we Portraying French Policemen in a Documentary about Soochow? (Saturday, May 21st, 2011)

In a strange turn of events, the documentary film had been asked to take part in on Thursday by the Overseas Studies rep at Soochow actually turned out to be something we didn't expect: we would be portraying French Policemen (picture soon to come) in an episode of an upcoming CCTV drama about the life of Deng Xiaoping, a prominent member of the Chinese Communist Party (look for it next year on cctv.cn!).  Unfortunately, due to my long curly hair and height, I was asked not to take part. I instead left early and spent time with some of the other members in our group who didn't go or left the set early (the shoot went from 9am to 7pm that day).
